Vietnam Electricity Corporation (EVN) signed a contract on January 29 for the Tri An Hydropower Plant Expansion project with the DEC-ENTEC-TTP Consortium, which includes Dongfang Electric International Corporation, ENTEC Energy Engineering JSC, and Tam Thanh Phat Energy Engineering JSC. The project, with a total investment of VND 3.96 trillion ($158 million), aims for commissioning in Q4 2027.

The contract, valued at VND 1.113 trillion ($44.5 million), covers the supply of electromechanical equipment and is expected to enhance power supply capacity, particularly during peak hours in southern Vietnam. Construction is set to commence in 2025, supported by EVN, KfW Development Bank, and local authorities. The financing structure consists of 30% equity and 70% commercial loans, with stringent quality and schedule management emphasized for successful project delivery.
