Evonik Launches Innovation Factory to Accelerate Technological Breakthroughs
Evonik is transforming its strategic research into the Innovation Factory, an agile unit focused on combinatorial innovation to accelerate market readiness for technologies like biopolymers and rhamnolipids. This unit, succeeding Creavis, aims to shorten development time to five years for transitioning innovations to production, integrating internal expertise with external partners.

Evonik has established the Innovation Factory to enhance its strategic research and expedite technological advancements. This unit will focus on combinatorial innovation, linking Evonik's capabilities with external partners to develop key technologies like biopolymers and rhamnolipids for market readiness.
The Innovation Factory aims to reduce the development timeline to five years before transferring innovations to production. Key areas of focus include environmentally friendly biosurfactants and biopolymers to replace fossil materials, as well as anion exchange membranes for the green hydrogen economy. The facility is located at the Marl Chemical Park.
