Exeter Township Approves $1.4M Purchase of Former Bank for Administrative Building
Exeter Township's board of supervisors authorized Township Manager William Heim to negotiate the purchase of 1 Hearthstone Court for $1.395 million to serve as a new administrative building. The property will house various township offices and meeting rooms. Funding will come from the Wastewater Treatment Sale Proceeds Fund. The acquisition will also allow the police department to expand into the new facility, eliminating the need for a costly leased trailer.

Exeter Township is set to purchase 1 Hearthstone Court for up to $1.395 million to serve as its new administrative building. This property, formerly Berkshire Bank's headquarters, offers over 7,400 square feet for various township functions, including the tax collector's office and board meetings.
The purchase will be funded by the Wastewater Treatment Sale Proceeds Fund. The acquisition will also facilitate the expansion of the police department and eliminate a $19,750 annual rent expense. The township has 45 days for due diligence and 15 days for negotiation. Additionally, the supervisors approved time extensions for two land development plans and resolved to dedicate Princess Court to the township.
