Exide Industries Ltd invested ₹100 crore in Exide Energy Solutions Ltd (EESL) by subscribing to 2.5 crore equity shares on February 24, 2026. This brings Exide's total investment in EESL to ₹4,352.23 crore, maintaining a 100% shareholding.

EESL, incorporated on March 24, 2022, manufactures lithium-ion batteries and is building a greenfield plant in Bengaluru. For FY25, EESL reported a turnover of ₹116.89 crore and a loss after tax of ₹209.12 crore. Exide's net profit rose 4.9% year-on-year to ₹257 crore, with revenue increasing to ₹4,029 crore for the quarter.
