Exolum Acquires Minority Stake in SeaSeaS Amsterdam CO2 Terminal Project
Exolum has acquired a minority stake in the SeaSeaS Amsterdam project, advancing the development of Western Europe's first open-access CO₂ export terminal. Set to handle up to 3.5 million tonnes of CO₂ annually, the terminal aims for operational readiness by 2030, connecting emitters in the Netherlands and Germany to North Sea storage sites.

Exolum's acquisition of a minority stake in the SeaSeaS Amsterdam project enhances infrastructure for CO₂ management in the region. The terminal, designed to handle 3.5 million tonnes of CO₂ annually, will facilitate transport via multiple modalities, including vessel and rail, to North Sea storage sites.
Operational by 2030, it will serve both biogenic and non-biogenic sources, aiming to connect various industrial emitters efficiently. Exolum's logistics expertise will support the project's growth in carbon capture and storage, which is critical for achieving industrial decarbonisation. The strategic location at the Port of Amsterdam positions the terminal to serve major industrial areas in the Netherlands and Germany.
