Econetix Gains Rwandan Approval for 1.77 Million Carbon Credits
Econetix has received authorization from Rwanda to market 1.77 million CORSIA-eligible carbon credits, enhancing compliance options for international airlines while supporting local clean cooking initiatives.

Econetix has obtained a Letter of Authorization from the Rwandan government to commercialize 1.77 million metric tons of carbon credits under CORSIA, addressing a shortage of verified compliance offsets for airlines. This authorization, aligned with Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, facilitates international transfer of emissions reductions from local clean cooking and energy projects.
The partnership with Rwanda ensures that these carbon credits meet CORSIA Phase 1 eligibility, providing a reliable source for airlines needing verified offsets. This initiative is expected to ease regulatory burdens for airlines while promoting sustainable development in Rwanda.
