Sandoz Canada Achieves Carbon Neutral Certification for Operations
Sandoz Canada has been certified carbon neutral for its head office and sales activities, reflecting its commitment to sustainability in the pharmaceutical sector. This certification was granted by LCL Engineering, Environment & Sustainable Development and involved offsetting CO2 emissions through carbon credits.

Sandoz Canada has received carbon neutral certification from LCL Engineering, Environment & Sustainable Development for its operations in Boucherville. The certification process included a comprehensive inventory of CO2 emissions based on ISO 14064-1, focusing on activities such as electricity use and business travel.
Emissions from manufacturing and transportation were excluded. The company plans to further reduce its emissions and offset remaining ones by purchasing carbon credits, primarily supporting Canadian reforestation projects.
Additionally, Sandoz Canada participated in Mission 1000 tonnes, successfully collecting 1,700 pounds of waste in a park cleanup initiative. This certification complements other environmental efforts, including an electric vehicle policy and community fundraising activities.
