Falmouth Expands Wastewater Treatment Plant Using Penetron Technology
The Falmouth wastewater treatment facility is undergoing a $26.2 million expansion to enhance environmental compliance. This project connects 1,792 parcels across two watersheds to the treatment plant, vital for reducing nitrogen levels in Great Pond.

Falmouth's $26.2 million Teaticket Acapesket Sewer Area (TASA) project connects 1,292 parcels in the Great Pond watershed and 500 in the Green Pond watershed to the wastewater treatment plant. The facility, which processes 1.2 million gallons per day, required significant renovations to meet environmental guidelines, including the addition of a third sequencing batch reactor and upgrading disinfection systems.
Penetron ADMIX SB was incorporated into nearly 2,000 cubic yards of concrete for treatment tanks, enhancing impermeability and self-healing properties. The project aims to mitigate pollution in Great Pond, addressing nitrogen levels to comply with state requirements.
