Farciennes Launches Support Initiative for Local Businesses Amid Google and Mercedes Expansion
Farciennes is set to establish a new Mercedes dealership and a Google data center by mid-2026, potentially attracting hundreds of new workers and consumers. The municipality has introduced a grant program, 'Objectif 6240,' offering up to €3,000 to support local businesses and combat commercial vacancy.

Farciennes plans to open one of Belgium's largest Mercedes dealerships and a Google data center, leading to potential economic growth with hundreds of new consumers expected in the first half of 2026. In response, the municipality has initiated 'Objectif 6240,' a financial aid program providing up to €3,000 for small businesses, targeting new entrants and those seeking to innovate.
This initiative builds on the 'Objectif Proximité' program, active until 2024 with governmental support. Applications will be reviewed by a local jury, with grants covering up to 75% of the investment costs. The initiative aims to enhance commercial diversity and reduce empty retail spaces, ultimately improving urban attractiveness.
