Festus officials have proposed a deal with developer CRG for a $6 billion data center on a 360-acre site off Highways 67 and CC, marking a significant private investment in Jefferson County. CRG has agreed that the unnamed technology tenant will cover all energy costs, which will not affect Festus residents, secured by a binding agreement with Ameren Missouri. Additionally, CRG will finance all water and sewer improvements and ensure no adverse impact on the city's water supply, along with funding any required street upgrades.
