FiberCop Expands National Fiber Network with €10 Billion Investment
FiberCop is investing €10 billion to enhance fiber coverage in Italy, aiming for 10,500 access points and 28 million km of fiber by 2027. This initiative significantly boosts FTTH availability, reaching 46% coverage and supporting digital services through a partnership with Microsoft Italy.

FiberCop plans to invest €10 billion from 2024 to 2027 to develop fiber infrastructure across Italy, achieving over 28 million kilometers of fiber and 10,500 access points. Currently, FTTH coverage stands at 46%, with 14.3 million units connected, reaching over 6,200 municipalities.
FiberCop has completed its backbone network, interlinking 3,700 access points to 33 strategic data centers, thus enhancing connectivity and reducing the digital divide. A partnership with Microsoft Italy aims to deliver low-latency digital services using edge cloud capabilities. Furthermore, as the Fiber Infrastructure Partner for the Milano Cortina 2026, FiberCop is facilitating connectivity for the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
