Final Approval Granted for 1.5km Hydrogen Pipeline in Pembrokeshire
The Pembrokeshire County Council and Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority have approved the final stage of a 1.5km hydrogen gas pipeline proposed by MorGen Energy Ltd. This pipeline will connect the Impala Terminal to the South Hook LNG Terminal, forming part of the West Wales Hydrogen project, which includes a new 20MW hydrogen production facility expected to generate 1,875 tons of hydrogen annually. The pipeline aims to enhance hydrogen distribution to local customers and the LNG terminal.

The Pembrokeshire County Council and Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority approved the final stage of a 1.5km hydrogen gas pipeline by MorGen Energy Ltd, linking the Impala Terminal to the South Hook LNG Terminal. The project is part of the West Wales Hydrogen initiative, which includes a new 20MW hydrogen production facility at the Impala Terminal, set to produce 1,875 tons of hydrogen annually.
The pipeline will facilitate hydrogen distribution to local customers and the South Hook LNG Terminal. The southern part of the pipeline is within the jurisdiction of the national park authority, which conditionally approved the application.
