Final Beam Installed at QTS Eagle Mountain Data Center Campus
The final beam for the third building of QTS's Eagle Mountain data center was installed, marking a $6 billion investment. This development aims to enhance digital infrastructure and create over 100 permanent jobs, contributing significantly to the local economy.

QTS has completed the installation of the final structural beam for its third data center building in Eagle Mountain, Utah. The overall campus construction, which began in September 2025, represents a total investment of $6 billion across five buildings.
The project has utilized over 2,400 tons of steel sourced from BZI Steel in Cedar City and has employed over 2,000 workers during construction. Once operational, the facility is expected to create more than 100 permanent jobs.
The general contractor, Layton Construction, has emphasized its commitment to safety, achieving a recordable incident rate of only 0.21 during nearly one million craft hours worked. This expansion aligns with Eagle Mountain's rapid growth and its aim to bolster local economic opportunities.
