FinnCobalt has released its first Sustainability Report for the Hautalampi battery mineral project, focusing on responsible mining practices integrated within environmental, social, and governance frameworks. The 2025 report highlights zero workplace accidents, a three-dimensional groundwater model, and active community engagement.

The project aligns with the Towards Sustainable Mining framework and aims to reduce carbon emissions with preparations for CO₂-free energy and an electrified mining fleet. Moving into 2026, FinnCobalt plans to enhance its sustainability efforts, focusing on water management, biodiversity, and community dialogue.
