FireFly Targets Green Bay as Potential DeGrussa Successor with Upcoming Economic Study
FireFly Metals is set to release a preliminary economic study for its Green Bay project in Canada, which could mirror the success of Sandfire's DeGrussa deposit. The study is expected to provide crucial insights into the project's viability and potential output.

FireFly Metals plans to publish a preliminary economic study for its Green Bay asset later this month, aiming for production before 2030. This project shows promising drill results, including intersections of 11.5m at 13.2% copper-equivalent and 49m at 6% copper-equivalent, suggesting significant resource potential.
Comparatively, the DeGrussa deposit produced approximately 65,000-70,000 tonnes of copper per year and 40,000 ounces of gold at lower metal prices. Current market prices for copper and gold are significantly higher, which may enhance Green Bay's profitability. Following the initial study, feasibility assessments are scheduled for completion by early 2027.
