First Atlantic Nickel Secures $1.3M Financing for Newfoundland Nickel Projects
First Atlantic Nickel has completed a $1.3 million private placement to fund exploration at its Pipestone XL and Ophiolite X projects in Newfoundland and Labrador. The financing will support large-scale drilling across the Pipestone XL project's 30-km strike length, focusing on expanding the RPM zone and advancing metallurgical recovery processes. The company's processing method using awaruite deposits offers reduced electricity use and environmental impacts compared to conventional methods.

First Atlantic Nickel has raised $1.3 million through a private placement to enhance exploration at its Pipestone XL nickel-cobalt alloy project and Ophiolite X project in Newfoundland and Labrador. The funding will facilitate extensive district drilling over a 30-km strike length at Pipestone XL, with plans to expand the RPM zone and explore new drill targets.
The company employs magnetic separation for processing awaruite deposits, which minimizes electricity consumption and environmental impact compared to traditional nickel processing methods. The U.S. Geological Survey has recognized the strategic value of awaruite in mitigating nickel concentrate shortages.
