First Permanent Hydrogen Drone Port Established in Hiroshima, Japan
Robodex and Tokyu Land Corporation launch Japan's inaugural hydrogen drone port in Hiroshima Prefecture to enhance logistics across the Seto Inland Sea. This initiative aims to provide reliable transport for island communities, reducing dependence on traditional ferry services.

Robodex and Tokyu Land Corporation have established Japan's first permanent hydrogen drone port in Hiroshima Prefecture, aimed at improving logistics for island communities. The facility, located within the LOGI'Q Hiroshima logistics complex, will facilitate drone flights primarily to Osakikamijima, covering a round-trip distance of approximately 35 km (22 miles).
This port allows for faster deliveries of essential goods and medicines, addressing challenges posed by weather-dependent ferry services. The project promises lower delivery costs, enhanced mobility, and the potential to retain younger populations by creating new job opportunities. Furthermore, the hydrogen drones support disaster response capabilities by enabling longer-range flights when necessary.
