First Residents to Move into Tilburg's Smariuskade District Next Month Amid Ongoing Construction
The new Tilburg district Smariuskade will welcome its first residents next month, with nearly 800 homes planned for the area. The initial thirty homes have been rapidly constructed using factory-built modules. Future developments include a mix of social housing, mid-range rentals, and private homes. Notable projects include 110 rental apartments from WonenBreburg and a distinctive tower named De Korenaar, expected to be completed by late 2028. The heating system will utilize waste heat from a nearby VodafoneZiggo data center.
