firstcolo and Oberhessische Versorgungsbetriebe AG (OVAG) are collaborating on a high-tech data center project in Rosbach, Germany, with a planned completion by the end of 2027 and an investment of approximately 250 million euros. The center will cover over 11,500 square meters, provide up to 24 megawatts of IT capacity, and utilize innovative cooling technologies. It will focus on energy efficiency and renewable energy, offering surplus heat to the city for local heating networks.

firstcolo and OVAG are initiating a project to build a modern data center in Rosbach, Germany, with completion expected by late 2027 and an investment of around 250 million euros. The facility will span over 11,500 square meters, delivering IT capacity of up to 24 megawatts and supporting high-performance servers and AI applications.
It will feature a carrier-neutral connection with redundant fiber optics for reliability. Emphasizing energy efficiency, the center will provide waste heat to Rosbach for local heating networks. OVAG holds a 20% stake in the project, contributing both capital and expertise in energy supply. The initiative aims to strengthen regional infrastructure and resilience, combining digital infrastructure with sustainable energy supply.
