Flint City Council to Address Water Infrastructure and Grants in February 2026 Meeting
The Flint City Council Finance Committee will meet on February 4, 2026, to discuss grants and infrastructure related to the city's water systems. A key agenda item is setting a public hearing for Flint's 2027 Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Project Plan, which includes improvements to the Torrey Road Booster Station and the replacement of the Northwest Transmission Main.
The committee will consider a $142,000 repair for the sluice gate at the Northwest Pump Station and a $150,000 change order for additional polymer chemicals for wastewater treatment. Additionally, a $220,540 purchase of ultraviolet disinfection bulbs for the Water Pollution Control Facility will be reviewed.
Other items include a $41,681 grant from the state for auto theft prevention and a $100,000 grant for law enforcement education. Public comments will be taken at the start of the meeting.
