FNCCI and Ceylon Chamber Host B2B Meeting to Boost Investments in Nepal

A B2B meeting in Sri Lanka facilitated by the FNCCI and the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce sought to enhance investment opportunities between Nepal and Sri Lanka. A 50-member Nepali delegation, led by FNCCI Vice President Naresh Lal Shrestha, discussed investment potentials in hydropower, tourism, and herbal industries.
Shrestha indicated that Nepal can generate over 40,000 megawatts of electricity and has established a 'one-window system' to attract foreign investments. Sri Lankan business leaders expressed interest in investing significantly in Nepal's projects while emphasizing the need for administrative support from the Nepalese government. The meeting highlighted the mutual benefits of strengthening trade relations and leveraging local resources for higher value generation.
