Ford Trucks Launches F-Line E Electric Truck in Western Europe, Including Germany
Ford Trucks is launching its first electric truck, the F-Line E, in the 19- and 26-tonne classes across Western Europe, beginning in Germany. Manufactured at Ford Otosan in Turkey, the F-Line E debuted at Solutrans in Lyon and features a ZF electric drivetrain, two battery options, and a range of up to 300 kilometers.
This model targets regional distribution, urban logistics, and municipal operations, catering to predictable routes and zero-emission requirements. Ford Trucks aims to address the growing demand for electric vehicles and enhance its competitiveness in the market.
A major partnership with a leading charging specialist is nearing completion to provide customers with charging solutions. The vehicle's production will be integrated into existing manufacturing lines with necessary adaptations for electric components. Ford Trucks envisions a fully zero-emission portfolio by 2040 and is researching alternative technologies, including hydrogen fuel cells, for future offerings.
