Fort Bragg Selected for Data Center Development and Infrastructure Improvements
The Army has designated Fort Bragg as a potential site for a commercial data center requiring at least 100 megawatts of power. Developers will lease six parcels of underused land for 50 years, with proposals due by February 23. The project must consider environmental impacts and infrastructure needs. Additionally, Fort Bragg officials address $20 million in repairs for local roadways and $6.3 million for barracks maintenance. Construction for new soldiers' housing is set to begin in 2027.

Concurrently, Fort Bragg is planning $20 million in road repairs and has allocated $6.3 million for barracks maintenance, with a focus on improving living conditions. Construction for new housing facilities is planned to start in 2027.
