Fort Bragg is under consideration for a commercial data center project that would require a minimum of 100 megawatts of power. The Army is seeking proposals for leasing six federally owned parcels near Spring Lake and Spout Springs for 50 years, with submissions due by February 23.

Selected developers will manage all aspects of the project and must address environmental impacts. Concurrently, Fort Bragg is planning $20 million in road repairs and has allocated $6.3 million for barracks maintenance, with a focus on improving living conditions. Construction for new housing facilities is planned to start in 2027.
