Fort Worth Reports $6.7 Billion Investment and 6,900 Jobs in 2025 Economic Development
Fort Worth achieved $6.7 billion in new capital investment and over 6,900 new and retained jobs in 2025, marking its strongest fiscal year in over a decade. Currently, 98 projects are in the development pipeline, including 44 company expansions and 54 community and real estate initiatives.
Key projects include a Bell plant expansion for the U.S. Army’s Future Long Range Assault Aircraft, expected to create 520 jobs by 2039, and Wistron's $761 million investment in AI supercomputer facilities.
Additionally, the Evans-Rosedale urban village project is set to break ground by late 2026, with a $63 million investment. Fort Worth was ranked No. 1 for building permit turnaround, with 97.7% processed in a week.
The city is preparing a $840 million bond proposal for affordable housing and public infrastructure, while the Panther Island dredging project is anticipated to start in 2026. Concerns about leadership changes in the Stockyards redevelopment project have arisen.
