Fortis Energy Begins Construction on 62 MW Solar Plant in Albania
Fortis Energy has begun construction on a 62 MW solar plant in Albania, expected to reach a peak capacity of 75 MW and generate 135 GWh of electricity annually, complemented by a 25 MWh battery storage system. The Albanian government issued a construction permit in June, and Fortis is also advancing several other solar projects across the country, including additional plants totaling 345 MW in various locations.

Fortis Energy has commenced construction of a 62 MW solar plant in Albania, with an anticipated peak capacity of 75 MW, expected to generate 135 GWh of electricity annually. The project will include a battery storage system capable of storing 25 MWh of excess energy.
The Albanian government issued a construction permit to Fortis in June. Additionally, Fortis is developing multiple solar projects in Albania, including a 100 MW project near Diber, two projects of 100 MW and 25 MW near Shkoder, as well as 55 MW, 20 MW, and 45 MW projects near Fier, and a 20 MW project near Vlore.
