Four Municipalities Collaborate on Green Initiatives in Parco Basso Olona with €2 Million Funding
The municipalities of Rho, Pregnana Milanese, Pogliano Milanese, and Vanzago have reached an agreement to enhance the Parco Locale del Basso Olona. This initiative, supported by over €2 million from data center developers in Pregnana Milanese, will fund the renovation of the Sant'Elena Mill and improve cycling paths connecting the municipalities. The projects aim to revitalize derelict industrial areas and mitigate environmental impacts from data center construction.

Rho, Pregnana Milanese, Pogliano Milanese, and Vanzago have signed an agreement to enhance the Parco Locale del Basso Olona, funded by over €2 million from data center developers in Pregnana Milanese. The funds will be used for the renovation of the Sant'Elena Mill and to enhance cycling paths linking the municipalities.
Two projects are underway in former industrial sites to create new job opportunities. The municipalities will also request that electricity networks be buried to improve aesthetics and environmental compatibility, avoiding agricultural land consumption. This initiative marks the beginning of a broader network of sustainable transport routes.
