FPM Agro Mechanic to Establish Manufacturing Plant in Zambia
FPM Agro Mechanic is launching a manufacturing facility in Lusaka, set to be operational in 8-10 weeks, to produce agricultural equipment for local use and export. This marks the company's first entry into Southern Africa, enhancing local agricultural capacity and aligning with Zambia's economic diversification efforts.

FPM Agro Mechanic, a major European agricultural equipment manufacturer, is establishing a plant in the Lusaka South Multi-Facility Economic Zone, expected to begin operations within 8 to 10 weeks. This facility will assemble equipment for both Zambian farmers and export to neighboring countries.
The company, which exports to 65 countries, is targeting the Southern African market for the first time. The initiative supports Zambia's goal to diversify its economy beyond copper and is anticipated to create local jobs while boosting the agriculture sector. This investment signifies confidence in Zambia's economic landscape and its potential as a manufacturing hub.
