Fran Silvestre Arquitectos Designs NIU N230 Timber-and-Steel Home for Dismantling in Valencia, Spain

CIRCULAR ECONOMY & RECYCLING

Fran Silvestre Arquitectos has created NIU N230 in Campolivar, Valencia, focusing on circular architecture by designing the home for dismantling and reuse. This approach aims to minimize the carbon footprint throughout the building's lifecycle.

The layout includes two distinct spaces for social activities and private rooms, with a central circulation core. The use of light oak paneling and RAL 9016 white surfaces enhances visual coherence. Structural elements utilize steel for strength, while the remaining interior is primarily wood.

Designed to allow dry-fitting for easy disassembly, the home aligns with circular economy principles and emphasizes adaptability. The placement of the house respects the existing landscape and vegetation.
