France Designated as Europe's Hydrogen Corridor with NaTran and Teréga Projects Listed as PCIs
France's NaTran and Teréga hydrogen projects have been recognized as Projects of Common Interest, solidifying the country’s role as a key hydrogen corridor in Europe. This designation is crucial for attracting investment and fostering energy infrastructure development across the continent.

France's NaTran and Teréga hydrogen infrastructure projects have been officially recognized in the EU's Projects of Common Interest (PCIs), positioning France as a central hydrogen corridor in Europe. The NaTran-led HY-FEN project spans nearly 1,000 km, linking the Mediterranean to northern and eastern France, while the MidHY project adds a 200 km interconnection to the regional HySoW network.
The HySoW project by Teréga develops a 650-km+ transport network in Southwest France, complemented by a 500 GWh hydrogen storage facility. These projects will benefit from simplified administrative processes and eligibility for European funding, fostering substantial industrial investment and enhancing energy sovereignty across the region. Such developments may significantly influence the hydrogen market dynamics and energy transition timelines.
