France Proposes AION for European AI Gigafactory Initiative

AION, a consortium including Ardian, Artefact, Bull, EDF, Capgemini, iliad Group, Orange, and Scaleway, is proposing to establish a European AI Gigafactory in France. This initiative seeks to provide European companies with massive, cost-competitive computing capabilities while ensuring technological sovereignty.
The project aims to cover the entire value chain, incorporating supercomputers, microprocessors, and critical energy infrastructure. France's selection is strategic, leveraging its abundant low-emission energy sources and a robust digital network.
