Frankfurt's Griesheim Industrial Park Revitalization Project Announced
Beos plans to develop a former chemical park in Griesheim into a mixed-use industrial zone by 2040, aiming to create 4,000 to 6,000 jobs. The project includes public spaces and amenities, addressing local economic needs amid Germany's industrial decline.

Beos, a subsidiary of Swiss Life Asset Managers, is undertaking a redevelopment of a 70-hectare site in Frankfurt’s Griesheim area. This initiative aims to attract new industries to replace the 500 jobs lost when chemical production ceased in 2019.
The project, named 'Westside,' will blend industrial facilities with public amenities including parks and recreational spaces. Beos plans to construct around 70 buildings by 2040, with 1.3 billion euros allocated for planning and development.
A heating network utilizing waste heat from data centers is also set to be installed. This transformation could provide significant economic benefits to the region, particularly as local businesses seek to recover from industrial downturns.
