Fuji Enhances SMT Placement for Large AI Server Components
Fuji Corporation has upgraded its NXTR and AIMEXR platforms to handle components up to 200 × 200mm and 2kg, meeting demands for advanced AI hardware. This capability supports the growing need for larger semiconductor packages and integrated optical modules in AI servers and high-performance computing.

Fuji Corporation has improved its NXTR and AIMEXR SMT platforms to support electronic components up to 200 × 200mm and 2.0kg without special configurations. This advancement, part of the Zero Placement Limits initiative, is designed to meet the increasing demands of AI servers and complex computing hardware by enabling the placement of larger GPU, ASIC, and co-packaged optics technologies.
Validated through internal testing in July 2026, this capability allows manufacturers to produce next-generation data center hardware efficiently. As the industry trends toward larger component sizes, Fuji aims to maintain automation efficiency while adapting to evolving semiconductor packaging requirements.
