Funding Requests for Wastewater and Infrastructure Projects in Illinois
U.S. Rep. Mary Miller has submitted funding requests for three significant projects in Illinois, totaling over $11 million. These initiatives aim to enhance wastewater treatment, water infrastructure, and road improvements, addressing critical infrastructure needs in the region.

Mary Miller has requested $5 million for Phase 2 improvements of Jacksonville's wastewater treatment plant, which includes system upgrades and emergency operation enhancements. In Greene County, a funding request of $1.29 million targets infrastructure improvements for the Rural Water District, focusing on water tower rehabilitation and system reliability.
Additionally, $4 million is sought for widening Old Jacksonville Road to enhance traffic flow. Other requests include $1.28 million for Jerseyville for sidewalk safety improvements and $1.84 million for a rail project by the Mid America Intermodal Port Authority District. The final allocation of these funds is uncertain as budget decisions are pending.
