G42, based in Abu Dhabi, has partnered with FPT Corporation and Viet Thai Group in Vietnam to establish a $1 billion AI and cloud infrastructure project. The Framework Cooperation Agreement, signed in Ho Chi Minh City, aims to develop sovereign AI capabilities and enhance digital resilience in Vietnam.

The agreement facilitates the deployment of cloud capacity across three data centers and includes plans for national AI skilling programs. This initiative is part of Vietnam's strategy to become a leading AI hub in Southeast Asia, generating economic impact through infrastructure investment and job creation.
