Gabon’s inaugural data center aims to enhance digital sovereignty by reducing dependence on foreign data hosting. Scheduled for launch on June 30, 2026, this facility will provide crucial services to various sectors, marking a significant step in Gabon's digital transformation strategy.

On June 30, 2026, Gabon will officially launch its first national data center at the Nkok Special Economic Zone, near Libreville. Developed by ST Digital, the facility adheres to Tier III standards, ensuring high reliability through redundant power and cooling systems.
It will offer colocation, cloud, and AI-ready hosting services to government, businesses, and individuals. This center addresses Gabon's reliance on foreign data infrastructure, a prevalent issue in Africa. Additionally, the project aligns with the national initiative to provide digital skills training to 1,000 young Gabonese, enhancing the country's overall digital capacity.
