Gabonese Delegation Visits Washington to Promote AI Data Center and Power Generation Investment
A Gabonese delegation, led by Minister Philippe Tonangoye, visited Washington from March 8-11 to promote an AI-powered data center in Libreville and seek U.S. investment in expanding power generation capacity. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce hosted a roundtable where Gabonese officials discussed the need for an additional 200MW of power to address a 220MW deficit and support digital infrastructure growth. The visit aims to strengthen U.S.-Gabon economic ties and encourages collaboration on energy and digital projects.

From March 8-11, a high-level delegation from Gabon, led by Minister Philippe Tonangoye, visited Washington to advance plans for an AI-powered data center in Libreville and attract U.S. investment in expanding power generation. The delegation met with U.S. private sector leaders and government officials to discuss collaboration on energy and digital infrastructure.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce hosted a roundtable where Gabonese officials highlighted the need for an additional 200MW of power to address a 220MW deficit.
