Gaec Des Taillis in Sion-les-Mines, managed by Laurent and Sandrine Aragon, has implemented a solar tracker and battery storage system to optimize solar electricity self-consumption. The tracker, installed by OKWind, generates enough electricity to meet farm needs and charge a 72 kW battery.

Daily self-consumption rates vary from 60% to over 90% in summer and 10% to 60% in winter, averaging 52-53% annually. The installation requires a small 4 m² building for safety. OKWind also offers intelligent battery management to optimize energy use during peak and off-peak hours. The couple expects a 12-year payback period on their investment.
