Galbot Launches First Fully Autonomous Robot Retail Stores in Hong Kong
Beijing Galbot Co Ltd has opened three fully autonomous robot retail stores in Hong Kong, marking its first international expansion. This move positions Hong Kong as a potential hub for embodied AI, leveraging its robust market and R&D capabilities.

Beijing Galbot Co Ltd inaugurated its first three overseas fully autonomous robot retail stores in Hong Kong, located in Hung Hom, Kai Tak, and Wan Chai. This expansion is a pivotal transition for Galbot from R&D into practical operations and aims to establish collaborations with local universities and industry players to foster embodied AI development.
As Galbot has launched approximately 200 stores across nearly 50 cities in mainland China, this move is part of a broader strategy to penetrate the global market. Projections indicate the global humanoids market could exceed $5 trillion by 2050, with China leading in the deployment of humanoid robots. Hong Kong's unique market characteristics and its connection to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area position it as an integral player in the next-generation AI landscape.
