Molex Acquires Keyssa Wireless Connector Technology for Enhanced Connectivity Solutions
Molex has acquired Keyssa's wireless chip-to-chip technology, including over 350 patents, to enhance its micro connector portfolio. This acquisition aims to support high data rate communication needs in mobile devices, enabling cable-free connectivity at speeds of up to 6 Gbps.

Molex has acquired technology and intellectual property from Keyssa Inc., focusing on wireless chip-to-chip connectors. This acquisition will bolster Molex's micro connector offerings aimed at near-field applications and facilitate device-to-device communication with a data rate capability of 6 Gbps on the 60 GHz band.
A dedicated team of over 25 engineers in the U.S. and India will develop products addressing high-volume mobile applications, with potential applications in smart factories and medical robotics. The integration of Keyssa's Virtual Pipe I/O technology will further enhance performance by improving protocol efficiency. This move positions Molex to meet growing demands for wireless connectivity while mitigating reliance on mechanical connectors.
