GanzEnergy to Deliver Fuel-Cell Power Station for Aquamarine Plus Project in Hungary
GanzEnergy will provide a high-capacity fuel-cell power station to the Kardoskút site of Hungarian Gas Storage Ltd. as part of the Aquamarine Plus hydrogen technology project. This facility will convert green hydrogen, generated from renewable electricity, back into electric power for the national grid.
The Aquamarine Project aims to store surplus renewable electricity as hydrogen via water electrolysis and use it for industrial and energy needs. The current development phase enables the reconversion of hydrogen into electricity.
The power station, in collaboration with Ballard, has a nominal capacity of 1,050 kW and is designed for industrial-scale, grid-connected applications. The Hungarian hydrogen corridor has been added to the EU's updated PCI list.
