GAZ-SYSTEM to Build New Gas Compression Station in Lwówek, Poland for 900 Million PLN
GAZ-SYSTEM has signed a contract for the construction of a new gas compression station in Lwówek, Poland, along with related transmission infrastructure. Construction is set to begin in Q2 2026 and be completed by late 2027 or early 2028. Budimex S.A. is the general contractor. The project aims to enhance gas transmission flexibility and improve energy security in Poland, supported by over 559 million PLN in EU funding.

GAZ-SYSTEM has initiated a project to construct a gas compression station in Lwówek, Wielkopolska, with a total project cost of over 892 million PLN. Construction will start in Q2 2026 and is expected to finish by late 2027 or early 2028, with Budimex S.A. as the contractor.
The station will enhance transmission from entry points like the LNG Terminal and Baltic Pipe, improving energy security, especially during peak gas demand. The installation will feature three compressors with a total capacity of 24 MW and will expand the existing gas node in Lwówek. The project is co-financed by the EU under the FEnIKS program.
