GE Vernova to Supply Two 100 MW Gas Turbine Packages for Nebraska's Terry Bundy Generating Station
GE Vernova Inc. has been contracted by Lincoln Electric System to provide two LM6000VELOX aeroderivative gas turbine packages for the Terry Bundy Generating Station in Lincoln, Nebraska. The project, scheduled for completion in 2029, will enhance the generating capacity by about 100 MW to address growing electricity demand.
The LM6000VELOX turbines offer rapid startup capabilities in 10 minutes and high operational flexibility, supporting the state's evolving energy mix. This expansion marks a continuation of a 20-year partnership between GE Vernova and Lincoln Electric System, contributing to grid stability and reducing power supply risks as renewable energy adoption grows.
