Gen2 Energy Advances 195MW Green Hydrogen Plant Development in Mosjøen, Norway
Gen2 Energy is progressing with its planned 195 MW green hydrogen production facility at Nesbruket in Mosjøen, Norway. Currently, 87 MW of this capacity has been allocated within the existing power grid, while the remainder is pending grid development in the Helgeland region, facilitated by Statnett.
The facility aims to produce up to 30 tonnes of liquefied green hydrogen daily, contributing to emissions reduction, particularly in the maritime sector. The project is being developed in phases and is expected to create new jobs and enhance industrial activity in the area. Gen2 Energy acknowledges collaboration with local entities such as Mosjøen og Omegn Næringsselskap and Vefsn municipality as crucial for advancing the project toward a final investment decision and construction start.
