Gendorf Launches Startup Initiative for Chemical Industry Revitalization
Gendorf's Chemiepark has officially launched a 'Startup-Launchpad' aimed at fostering innovation in the chemical sector. This initiative is critical as it addresses high energy costs and regulatory challenges faced by the industry, positioning the region as a hub for future market leaders.

On April 30, Infraserv Gendorf inaugurated its 'Startup-Launchpad' at Chemiepark Gendorf, targeting innovation in the chemical industry. This 3,500 square meter facility, named 'Base ONE', is designed to support young technology companies with necessary infrastructure and legal expertise.
The initiative aims to tackle major industry challenges including high energy costs and stringent regulations. Current projects include lithium-ion battery recycling by Tozero and Caphenia’s plans for producing synthetic aviation fuel by 2030. This strategic move could significantly enhance Gendorf's position in the European market, potentially increasing the number of startups in the region.
