General Dynamics Secures $19M for Next Gen Survival Radio for U.S. Air Force
General Dynamics Mission Systems has secured a $19 million contract modification to finalize the Next Generation Survival Radio for the U.S. Air Force. This initiative includes the delivery of approximately 300 pre-production units aimed at enhancing combat search and rescue capabilities.

General Dynamics Mission Systems will complete qualification and pre-production work for the Next Generation Survival Radio (NGSR) under a $19 million contract modification from the U.S. Air Force. The project includes U.S.
Department of War certifications and aims to provide about 300 pre-production radios for operational training and evaluation. Work is scheduled to occur at the Scottsdale, Arizona facility and will continue through 2027.
This radio is developed to support combat search and rescue operations and follows the company's existing HOOK2 and HOOK3 survival radios. The project is part of an Other Transaction Authority agreement with SOSSEC, Inc.
