GeoPura Secures Largest Green Hydrogen Supply Contract for UK's Lower Thames Crossing Project
GeoPura has won the largest green hydrogen supply contract in British construction, providing 2,500 tonnes to the Lower Thames Crossing. This deal aims to replace over 12 million litres of diesel, reducing CO2 emissions by approximately 30,000 tonnes. The hydrogen will be supplied as a managed service, with ongoing delivery and storage throughout construction, which is set to begin in 2026. The project aims for carbon neutrality, utilizing hydrogen-powered machinery to support environmental goals.

GeoPura has secured a historic contract to supply 2,500 tonnes of green hydrogen for the Lower Thames Crossing, the largest such deal in British construction history. The hydrogen will replace more than 12 million litres of diesel, projected to cut around 30,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
The project, designed to ease congestion between Kent and Essex, will start construction in 2026. GeoPura will manage supply, storage, and distribution of hydrogen, with six hydrogen-powered generators already operational on site. The initiative supports the deployment of hydrogen-powered machinery and aims for carbon neutrality in construction activities.
