The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is set to assist Pakistan in achieving sustainable development through economic growth and climate resilience initiatives. A meeting between Laura Jalosjoki, GGGI's Country Representative, and Dr.
Musadik Malik, Federal Minister for Climate Change, outlined potential collaboration areas, including the Pakistan Country Program 2024-2028. Discussions highlighted enhancing private sector engagement in climate finance, improving energy efficiency with AI-enabled systems, and developing agricultural investment strategies.
The Global Clean Hydrogen Programme, focused on facilitating Pakistan's net-zero transition, is also under consideration. This program has the potential to reduce about 2.3 million metric tons of CO2 emissions and is operational in nine countries. The emphasis on locally relevant solutions is crucial for aligning with national development needs.
