GHT Secures Investment for Hydrogen Production Scale-Up from Waste
Green Hydrogen Technology GmbH has gained Arboris GmbH & Co. KG as a long-term investor to enhance its hydrogen production from non-recyclable waste. This partnership aims to support the industrial scaling of a technology that converts waste into climate-neutral hydrogen and usable carbon dioxide.

Green Hydrogen Technology GmbH (GHT) has received investment from Arboris GmbH & Co. KG, increasing its funding base to scale its hydrogen production technology. GHT's method utilizes non-recyclable waste as a local resource, producing hydrogen on-site, which supports decentralized energy nodes.
The company recently completed its first commercial plant and plans to collaborate with a family-run waste disposal firm in southern Germany on a large-scale hydrogen project, processing over 20,000 tons of waste annually to generate more than 2,000 tons of hydrogen. This development addresses the challenges of waste management, the need for climate-neutral energy sources, and resilient regional energy systems, reflecting significant market interest.
