Gia Lai has initiated the construction of an AI Research Center in Quy Nhơn, led by FPT with a total investment of 613 billion VND. The center, covering over 11.1 hectares, is projected to be completed and operational by 2027.

It will feature three main functional areas: a digital technology services research and production center, a UAV research and testing area, and a data center. The facility is expected to accommodate approximately 4,000 to 5,000 engineers and technology experts, supporting AI application development in cooperation with global organizations, including Mila Research Institute from Canada. The project is part of Gia Lai's strategy to enhance its technology ecosystem and attract high-quality technology personnel.
