GKN PM Enhances US Copper Binder Jetting with HP Metal Jet Technology
GKN Powder Metallurgy is expanding its Binder Jetting capacity in the US by integrating HP's Metal Jet technology. This initiative aims to meet rising demand for copper components in various sectors, including automotive and defense.

GKN Powder Metallurgy is increasing its Binder Jetting capabilities at its Auburn Hills, Michigan facility through the incorporation of HP's Metal Jet technology. The company aims to enhance its production of advanced copper components, which are essential in applications requiring high conductivity.
This expansion follows a successful established production rate of over 500,000 metal additive parts annually in Europe. The collaboration is expected to yield operational savings in data centers amounting to millions over the next five years. An open house event to demonstrate these capabilities is scheduled for May 21, 2026.
